Homework

I expect all students to read for at least 15 minutes every night and to practice their times tables during the week.  You could ask someone to test you on the times tables you find difficult and you can use some of the math games I have suggested on our websites page.

Week 10 - 31st March
Due - 4th April

The Day After
Have you ever read a book and wondered what might have happened to the characters in the book after the story had finished?
Use the storybook you are reading at home or you could use a book you liked reading when you were younger.  Continue the story from where the book ends.  E.g what did the little pigs do after they ate the big bad wolf stew? What did Cinderella do the day after she married the prince?
Think about what happens to all the people in the story the day after the end of the book.  Maybe they have another adventure.

Use your imagination!

I will give you a worksheet in class on Monday and also put spare copies onto our notice board to practice your BEDMAS and rounding.

Week 3 - 10th February

Mrs Little has decided to challenge you this week.  She wants students to think about why they are proud to be New Zealanders.  She would like all entries in to her office by Friday.  The best answer will receive a free lunch from the canteen.  Carefully plan your answer and present it creatively so that your entry stands out from the others!

Good luck!
